Is there any truth behind the recent rumors that Jonny “Red” Kerr passed away last season during a game from black lung disease cause by all the rosin powder smoke that had been clapped from Michael Jordan's hands in the 90’s directly into Red Kerr’s face and then inhaled by Red Kerr before tipoff???

The truth is Yes, Jonny had an increasingly worsening condition of Black Lung similar to those of coal miners caused by Michael Jordan, among other Bulls … Fred Tedeshi had notified the front office of the Chicago Bulls, previous to the 2007 season of Jonny Red Kerr’s condition. The Chicago Bulls executives were devastated by the news that their announcer, Red Kerr the staple voice for the Chicago Bulls Championship runs, was on his way out. Afraid that his death may occur during a game and the fear of losing TV ratings from the loss of their beloved Red Kerr, the front office arranged a body double to be on call for all of his 2007 games in case of an incident.


On March 02, 2007 he passed away from heart failure after calling this violent Tyrus Thomas block and dunk.
