Mike D'Antoni Fired?

According To SI,

Mike D'Antoni, the NBA's Coach of the Year for the 2004-05 season and the man credited with reinvigorating fast-break basketball in a league gone stale, will not be back to coach the Phoenix Suns for the 2008-09 season, SI.com has learned.

One landing spot for him would seem to be Chicago, where general manager John Paxson has not yet replaced Jim Boylan, who himself replaced Scott Skiles (now in charge in Milwaukee). The Bulls underachieved this season under both coaches but would seem to have the kind of offensive nucleus (Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, Andres Nocioni) with which D'Antoni could build.

I agree with SI. If D'Antoni comes to Chicago he will make Tyrus Thomas a man child. He will let all the players just chuck. They would be fun to watch. The only thing they would need is a legit PG. Stay Tuned.......

Tom Izzo To Coach Bulls?

According to Yahoo! Sports,

Bulls GM John Paxson granted Carlisle the first interview in the process, two league sources said, and Carlisle made a strong impression. But Chicago officials were still busy gathering intelligence on him Tuesday, reaching out around the league to those who had worked with him at stops with the Pacers and Pistons.

Nevertheless, the search won’t be limited to Carlisle. There’s been much internal discussion over Izzo, whom many NBA officials believe is one of the rare college coaches who can make the transition to the pros.

When reached on Tuesday night, Izzo told Yahoo! Sports that he hadn’t been contacted by the Bulls, but sounded willing to discuss the job with them.

I think Izzo would be a good coach in the NBA. Time will only tell what Paxson is going to do.

Scott Skiles Is The Bucks New Coach

Scott Skiles has moved north of Chicago, and is expected to sign a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. Scott Skiles has verbally accepted an offer from the Milwaukee Bucks to be their new head coach, the New York Post reported Monday, citing a league source. Skiles has a lot of pieces in Milwaukee and I think he will do a solid job with the Bucks. This move is going to make the Central Division one of the toughest in the league.

Chicago Bulls Fire Jim Boylan

Photo: Chicago Sports

It's Official! John Paxson has fired interim head coach Jim Boylan. 1st great decision of the offseason for Paxson.

According to Chicago Sports,

The Bulls fired interim coach Jim Boylan on Thursday, one day after he finished a 24-32 stint after taking over for Scott Skiles on Dec. 27. Though no official announcement has come from the team, Boylan was seen leaving the Berto Center after meeting with general manager John Paxson and a source close to Boylan confirmed the firing.

Now the search begins. Word is that Rick Carlisle and Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau are among the candidates expected to be interviewed. Stay Tuned.

Quick Notes: Scot Skiles is expected to sign a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks. If that happens expect Boylan to be an assistant there.

Charles Barkley Rips Bulls

According to TNT Analysis Charles Barkley, The Chicago Bulls are in trouble. He states: "Y'all in trouble."

"They have a bunch of good, little pieces, but they should have made trades," Barkley said. "Who is their best player? We start with that. Who is their best player? To be a great team in the NBA, you have to have at least one really good player. When you think about the Bulls, you don't even know who their best player is."

"When these guys turn down $10 million to $12 million [per year], I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?' " he said. "First of all, that's highway robbery if you get that much money. They're just good players, not great players.

"If you offer a good player $10 million a year, he should get a pen as fast as he can."

"Whoever didn't make that trade was just stupid," he said. "Hey, Luol Deng is a good player but he's never going to be Pau Gasol and he's definitely never going to be Kevin Garnett. And now you're stuck. You're up the creek without a paddle, plain and simple."

Well said Charles.

The Chicago Bulls Are A Broken Record

Photo by Issac Baldizon/NBAE via Getty Images

It's official, The Chicago Bulls are eliminated from Playoff contention. The Bulls lost to the Miami Heat tonight, 95-88. The Chicago Bulls were down as many as 15 to the worst team in the league. The Chicago Bulls lost to a roster full of D-Leaguers. How embarrassing. Have some pride in yourself. Luol Deng led the Bulls with 25 points. Joakim Noah contiues to play with pride scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. This season can't end fast enough. The only good thing for the Bulls was that nobody decided to show up at the Miami arena. I don't blame them.

Chicago Bulls: One Foot In The Grave

(AP Photo/Brian Kersey)

The Chicago Bulls are 1/2 a game from being eliminated from the playoffs. The Chicago Bulls lost another game at home to the Washington Wizards. Atlanta, which holds the eighth and final playoff berth in the East, defeated Philadelphia earlier Saturday night. The Bulls' number is down to one; another Bulls loss or Atlanta victory seals the deal.

“The whole season, there’s a lot of things to point at,” forward Luol Deng said. “Whatever it is, we just have to take it and accept it. I thought we worked hard and prepared ourselves, physically. But there’s a lot of growth that we have to do mentally. There’s a lot that we have to deal with mentally. I think we just need to grow up mentally. I don’t think we had it this year.”

Luol Deng is the front runner to have to grow up mentally.

Remember when the Bulls were "predicted" to be top 3 in the conference?

Benny The Bull Gets 'Hood'

Kevin Garnett and James Posey are a bunch a p*ssies. They thought that Benny The Bull was shooting T-Shirts at them. If I was Benny I would shoot T-Shirts at them to because I don't like Posey or Garnett. According to Chicago Sports.com,

The Celtics claimed the shirts hit Garnett and Posey.

Bulls personnel apologized to the Celtics for the mishap immediately after.

That didn't stop Garnett from having to be restrained by one official and Posey from saying—perhaps tongue in cheek—that he was sore and might need treatment on his back afterward.

C'mon Posey are you that big of a p*ssy? A t-shirt hit you and you need treatment on your back. The Celtics make me sick. Pressing the Bulls with 2 minutes left and have a double digit lead. Real Classy.
