Duhon Benched

Story from Espn.com....

Add another item to the laundry list of issues the disappointing Chicago Bulls have had to face this season.

Duhon
Guard Chris Duhon, who was benched for the Bulls' game against the Detroit Pistons Sunday for missing the team's morning shootaround, was disciplined a second time by general manager John Paxson for making flip comments about the punishment.
It's unclear what action Paxson took Monday, but it's expected Duhon will be benched a second straight game Tuesday when Chicago takes on the Utah Jazz.
"I did meet with Chris," Paxson said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "We obviously talked it out. Obviously when things go badly, they go badly. I'm disappointed in what happened in the last couple of weeks, but ... I've dealt with it the way I feel was right and we'll move on from there."
During Sunday's telecast, it was revealed that Duhon had not received permission to attend Saturday's college basketball game between his alma mater, Duke, and North Carolina. He reportedly slept through the shootaround.
Duhon's response to the benching may have led to the second discipline.
"I don't play anyway, so it doesn't have that much of an effect on me," Duhon said, according to the Sun-Times.
Duhon later was interviewed on WMVP-AM 1000 and said he didn't expect to return to the Bulls next season.
"I probably won't be back," Duhon said, according to the newspaper. "I don't know what the summer has for me."
Duhon is averaging 5.8 points and 4.1 assists.

More Chapu Please

Why doesn't Andres Nocioni get a fair shake, he plays great D... not gimmick bullshit (playing for steals and blocks)... he takes on the challange of gaurding the best player on the other team (Lebron) the other night, and does everything he can... to stay in front of him, move his feet, and contest the shot. He NEVER gambles on the passing lane, which puts the D at a huge disadvantage when you gamble and miss. He gives up his body every chance he gets, takes charges, boxes out, and plays with unmatched intensity (minus Noah).

Jack Ramsey picked Noce to win defensive player of the year in October and he was quoted as saying... "This bulldog loves the challenge ... strong and tough."

Thats just the D...
Did you know Noce is 12th in the Eastern Conf for scoring per 48 minutes at 25.6 points...thats ahead of....
Joe Johnson
Vince Carter
Danny Granger
Ray Allen
Josh Smith
Richard Hamilton
Hedo Turkoglu
Andre Iguodala and so on....
For complete list....
http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Scoring.jsp?league=00&season=22007&conf=east&position=0&splitType=9&splitScope=PER48&qualified=Y&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=All%20Teams

He's a great team player, he plays better D then everyone on this list.... and he scores better then everyone on this list....... Never complains, never misses practice, always plays hard...

Maybe someone just needs more of a chance???
What would he avg if he played 35 min a game +...

Noce has played 35 min or more 10 times this year....
He averages 21.1 ppg and 5.8 reb in those games.......

Boylan........WOULD YOU PLEASE JUST PLAY... i'm sure this is possible ...
KIRK, BEN, NOCE, DENG, NOAH 35 minutes all in the same game
That still leaves 20+ minutes for Gooden, Larry "Jack-City" Hughes, and Tyrus

WTF Tyrus Thomas.... STFU and Hoop

"I'm just going to go out there, get my check and call it a day. I'm just into the free money. That's it. I'll just do whatever when I get out there."
Recent Missed practice....
The Chicago Tribune cites ....
Tyrus Thomas apologized to his Chicago teammates on Thursday for skipping practice on Wednesday but refused to tell the media what prompted his absence except to say it was for "personal reasons" and not about a lack of playing time. Whatever it was, it seems to have been premeditated -- the Chicago Tribune cites sources that say "Thomas laughingly told two teammates 'see you Thursday' when he left the locker room after Tuesday's victory over Memphis, during which Thomas played just nine foul-plagued minutes."But while those teammates may have known what was up, the front office brass was so completely caught off guard that they actually dispatched police officers to Thomas' house to check up on him when they were unable to track him down

---------------------------------------------------

There's nothing wrong with the TO attitude...... if you produced results that were anything close to TO...

You're one of the top 5 most athletic players in the league and you're shooting .41%?? come on half the shots you make are dunks... get your shit together, hoop out, and put up big time numbers.... then you can act like AI or TO... you jerk off...

Your ppg has gone up this year, but that stat is actually very deceiving... (because of your increase in Minutes)

06-07......... 966 minutes...... 374 points
07-08......... 936 minutes....... 343 points (current of 3-11-08)

your points per minute this year is actually down from your rookie year... ohh yeah and in case you were wondering... your rebounding is down per minute this year too...

Stromile Swifts... sophomore year stats 11.8 ppg 6.3 boards a game in 26.5 minutes a game.. and he shot .480 from the field.... You're not even close to Stromile Swifts development pace.....

How sad and pathetic... I was so excited when the Bulls drafted you... thanks for breaking my heart...you lazy, greedy bust. I really hope you get your act together and get back on track.

Chris Duhon Still Gots It

After his college years, people began to question whether or not Duhon has lost his "magic touch". Here is some evidence showing that he still has it.

Chris Duhon Is Hoood

Duhon Hugging Someone's Mom (Pay Attention To Detail)(Look At The Table)

Before you read this check out Duhon's shirt. HAHHAHAHHA. Chris Duhon is the newest member of the Hood Squad. First Chris Duhon was in Durham to watch his Blue Devils play, than he missed the morning shootaround the next day. Jim Boylan wasn't even aware that Duhon was there, but then saw him in the crowd on T.V. Strike 1 for Duhon. Duhon later says: "I was back in time; I just didn't get a call," Duhon said Sunday, explaining why he didn't wake up in time for the shootaround after traveling to Detroit from Durham, N.C. (Duhon attended the Duke-North Carolina game on Saturday with former Bull Jay Williams, also a Duke alum.) "I talked to [general manager John Paxson], and he said he understood.

"I haven't been playing a lot anyway." Strike 2. One more strike for Duhon and he probably will be waived. He is not likely to return next season, but for now he can enjoy is stay atop the Hood Squad.

Sports Guy's What IF's (Bulls Related)

Bill Simmons of Espn.com, wrote a What-If article related to the NBA... these two what if's were Chicago Bulls Related and I found them very interesting...

Following is written by Bill Simmons of Espn.com....

14. What if Jason Williams never crashed his motorcycle?
It has been so long, I feel like I have to add this disclaimer: We're talking about the Jason Williams from Duke (who later shortened his name to Jay Williams) -- not Jason "White Chocolate" Williams or Jayson "The Guy Accused of Killing A Chauffeur" Williams. Anyway, not a week goes by without some troublemaking reader sending us a "bad" prediction from my archives to make me feel stupid -- at least, I think that's the goal -- and one of the leading "somethings" comes from 2003, when I predicted Williams (the No. 2 pick in 2003) would be a better pro than Yao Ming (the No. 1 pick).
Well, you know what? I was right. I was DEAD right.
A lightning-quick, physical 6-footer who would have been unstoppable after they changed the hand-check rules in 2004, Williams had his moments as a rookie, including the 26-14-13 he slapped on J-Kidd and the Nets. He would have been a stud. There's no doubt in my mind. But Williams stupidly crashed his motorcycle that summer -- I say "stupidly" because there's no acceptable scenario when a professional athlete with a chance to sign a $70 million contract some day should ever own a motorcycle -- and that was that. How did Jay's injury change what transpired with Chicago over the next five years? Imagine Utah only getting one season out of Deron Williams and you have some idea.
(And while we're here, I wasn't sold on Yao for the same reason I'm not sold on any guy taller than 7-foot-2 -- other than Kareem, there's no track record of super-tall guys being able to stay healthy and effective while playing between 82-100 games per season at the NBA level. Bill Walton, Rik Smits, Shawn Bradley, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Tom Burleson, Gheorghe Muresan ... all of those guys had major problems staying on the court, right? It's not a game designed for freakishly tall guys who weigh 300-plus pounds. That's what worried me about Yao, along with the whole "everyone will be going out of their way to dunk on him" thing and all the requisite cultural adjustments. If Williams hadn't bought that freaking motorcycle, I would have been right on this one. So there.)
13b. What if Kevin McHale had taken Chicago's "Godfather" offer for KG before the 2006 draft?
Here was the offer: Tyson Chandler, Luol Deng and the No. 4 overall pick for Garnett.
Now ...

Imagine Kevin Garnett, right, in Chicago, Jason Kidd, left, in San Antonio and Paul Pierce in L.A. It all could've happened.Let's say McHale does the deal. And let's say he takes LaMarcus Aldridge with that No. 4 pick. And let's say he takes Brandon Roy at No. 6 and doesn't foolishly swap Roy for Randy Foye (a swap that never made sense, by the way). Suddenly, the T-Wolves have a nucleus of Chandler, Aldridge, Deng and Roy. Wow. And that's not even a stretch. This could have easily happened.
Meanwhile, Chicago would have ended up with Garnett, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon, Andres Nocioni and the typical flood of discount free agents and February buyout guys who follow a guy like KG, and on top of that Garnett would have ignited Chicago as a basketball city just like he ignited Boston (and potentially pushed the Bulls into the NBA Finals in a weak conference last spring). Instead, they gave away Chandler, turned Aldridge into Ty Thomas and wasted all their cap space on Ben Wallace. So, um ... that kind of sucked.
